Main purpose:
Single-girder top-running overhead cranes are designed for lifting, handling and precise positioning of long-length and large workpieces in a shipbuilding steel structures workshop. The cranes are used for supplying metal and welded assemblies to workstations, as well as for loading and unloading process areas.
The cranes can operate simultaneously within the same bay thanks to an optical monitoring system that eliminates the risk of collision. The cranes feature a tandem operating mode. In this mode, both cranes are switched to joint control from a single control unit. Lifting and travel commands are transmitted simultaneously to both cranes. As a result, two freight trolleys synchronously handle a single oversized load.
