MAIN PURPOSE:
Slip rings are used for supplying power to various rotating electrical consumers (current collectors). For example: electric hoists, slewing elements of lifting cranes, aerators, carousels, rotating stages and platforms.

The main advantage of this slip ring is its fully split design, which allows installation without axial mounting onto a shaft or support tube. Thanks to its sectional or split-ring construction, the unit can be assembled directly around an already installed shaft, which is critically important in cases where the design does not allow axial installation from the shaft end.
